Abstract:

Despite the success of the formulation of Standard Model of particle physics in terms of Non Commutative Geometry, it misses the prediction of the observed value of Higgs mass. Connes and Chamsedine have pointed out that this trouble can be overcome by the appearance of a Majorana scalar field, obtained as inner fluctuation of the Dirac operator of Standard Model. Such a field cannot emerge from the "usual" spectral triple of Standard Model, thus some modification of the latter is needed. In this seminar I will briefly present two of such modification that can lead to the appearance of the desired new field
