| Abstract | We consider the Euler–Korteweg system with space periodic boundary conditions $$ x \in {\mathbb {T}}^d$$. We prove a local in time existence result of classical solutions for irrotational velocity fields requiring natural minimal regularity assumptions on the initial data. |
