Abstract:
Given two nested convex sets, the Euclidean perimeter of the smaller one does not exceed that of the larger one. Why does this property hold and why is it interesting? Can one make it quantitative? Are there other perimeters satisfying it? The talk is based on joint works with K. Bessas, F. Giannetti and G. Saracco.
