Abstract:

Nonlocal perimeter functionals

I will present some recent results about the nonlocal perimeter functionals and the corresponding minimal surfaces. I will mainly focus on the limit case when s goes to 0, by providing an explicit formulation in terms of the Lebesgue measure. Moreover, I will construct some examples of sets for which such limit does not exist, and I will present related open problems. This talk is based on a series of papers by L. Ambrosio, L. Caffarelli, M. Del Pino, G. De Philippis, S. Dipierro, A. Figalli, O. Savin, E. Valdinoci, and myself.
