Abstract:
The classical notions of symmetry and homogeneous spaces are well understood for sets, groups, and commutative algebras among others. However, for quantum spaces, there are few or no classical symmetries hence, the need to study quantum symmetry. In this talk, we will start with basic notions in the theory of Hopf algebra, quantum actions and motivate the generalization of the notion of homogeneous spaces to the quantum case.
