The most widely known triangulated categories arise from chain complexes in an abelian category by passing to chain homotopy classes or inverting quasi-isomorphisms.We shall describe another source for triangulated categories: stable categories of Frobenius categories. Our main aim is to give the relevant definitions and constructions and to provide some results concerning these categories.
