In this talk I will show how to obtain global well-posedness for the cubic defocusing nonlinear Schrödinger equation on a manifold of dimension two. I will use the Brezis–Gallouët technique, which was one of the first successful techniques in this direction. Time permitting, I will speak about the asymptotic behavior of the solutions for large times.
