Abstract:
In this talk we will review some applications of vertex algebras and Poisson vertex algebras to representation theory, geometry and mathematical physics. An emphasis will be given on the notion of W-algebra which plays an important role in classical and quantum integrable systems and in the representation theory of Yangians.
