Abstract:
In this talk I will discuss mass quantization phenomena for singular Liouville type equations and their applications to the Gaussian curvature problem on surfaces with conical singularities. I will give a general overview of the main results concerning the scalar equation and discuss their generalization to systems of equations. Finally, I will present a compactness result for sequences of solutions of Toda Systems, which is a important tool in the variational analysis of the problem.
