Classical Torelli theorem says that a smooth complex projective curve is uniquely determined, up to isomorphism, by the polarized Hodge structure on its integral first cohomology group. In this talk, we will prove a generalized version of Torelli theorem, which enables us to reconstruct a particular kind of irreducible projective curve by the polarized mixed Hodge structure on its first cohomology group. The main reference will be Carlson's article "Extension of mixed Hodge structure".
