In this seminar I will introduce the basic principle of locomotion intended as a Fluid Structure Interaction problem using Boundary Element Method as numerical tool. I will review the main assumptions usually considered in the field and I will present a novel analysis about hydrodynamic interactions in a toy model. Finally I will also present a possible application of Boundary Element Method to analyse experimental data
